& K have recently been to Legoland and its fab! Make sure you check out
the new rides - and we loved the fact that kids can learn whilst having so much
fun! We found ourselves explaining history - they have the Land of the
Vikings which is fantastic fun but also encouraged the kids we took to ask
questions about their surroundings. The eateries are great value too -
they even have healthy snacks as well as the usual chips and cola!
Legoland is easily reachable from London but you could always turn your trip
into a weekend break, check out www.legolandholidays.co.uk and they
will find you a fab hotel - tickets to Legoland included. We stayed at the
Beaumont House hotel in Old Windsor which was first class - plenty of activities
for kids including a movie night with milk and cookies, a swimming pool (lots of
floats but its very deep so beware small children). We actually stayed in
the newly refurbished White House hotel which has 5 star rooms - very trendy and
comfortable although the reception and dining room were more suited for adults
than a family really. Look out for more on the hotel
